Post mortem drug tests 'flawed'

According to the BBC

Post mortem drug tests are flawed.

In March, US and UK experts warned the level of drugs in the blood can increase by 15-fold when someone dies because the toxins are released into the bloodstream.

That must be good news for the family of Rick James, the funk singer. His body tested positive for 9 different drugs while being autopsied.

Drugs found in James' system at the time of his death included cocaine, methamphetamine and prescription drugs Xanax, Valium, Wellbutrin, Celexa, Vicodin and Digoxin.

"Really, it wasn't the drugs! It wasn't the drugs! I swear, man. I'm Rick James!!! I just got a bad heart and a weakness for the crack."
