This truly is good news! As we in the West have watched the rise of militant radical Islam, we have wondered how we can counter this movement. Do we have the tools to win the war for the hearts of Muslims everywhere. While there are things that we can do to improve relations, it is ultimately the Muslims themselves that must win the battle for their own religion. This is a first step. I am cautious in my praise of this new group because they have not yet shown their intentions toward the West, but I will praise this demonstration of independent thought. Although many Arab-Muslims have been critical of radical Muslim groups or Arab leaders, many have also taken the view that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. This new "Salvation Movement" at least recognizes the hypocrisy of a group that claims to act on behalf of God, but takes innocent lives in the process. Even non-Muslims know that Islam forbids this...
