Bin Laden No Democrat. Surprise.

Likelihood of attack in percentages?

I'm betting that they try something big, it only half works, and both sides continue fighting, believing the attack/defense was a success.

Gut feeling, really. We are better prepped to defend ourselves thanks to DHS, and they have had a while to cook up something. I don't think it'll be planes again -- too much scrutiny there.

Anyone want to start a betting pool on this?

For my money, they will hit -- but poorly. If it's pre-election, Bush gets the WH again. If post-election, Kerry will be in much the same place that Bush was in post 9/11: strong public support, but few real policy options short of war.

Speaking of, Ronald Kessler was on CNN this morning talking about how many of Saddam's own general's believed that they were going to use chemical weapons against us. It's funny because they believed that Saddam was hiding them until the last minute, and the would rush them to the front lines.

If even the generals believed that they had weapons, what does one make of the Senate's report that the CIA lied, exagerrated, etc? I find that accusation rather self serving in that they too supported the war -- until it became difficult.
