The Pour: Once Out of Reach, Now Today's Special

I always wondered why no one had started a boozy arms race to lure the indulgent into their restaurants. Happy hours try to do this -- but poorly because they are not often part of a restaurant.

Sometimes I want to start a trendy consultancy for dining to pass along and test some ideas that I have.

BTW, has anyone heard of blind dining? In Germany it's a faddish thing now. Eat in the dark, savouring only the taste and texture (but not the sight) of the food.
