Lycos Sold for $95 Million

I remember when Lycos was first sold -- for 12.5B USD to the Spanish firm, Terra. At the time, the $12.5B was twice Spain's annual defense budget (may still be). Now it is being sold for $95M. While $95M is no small chunk o'change, it is not the stratospheric mega-billion dollar deal that could make an I-banker sweat with glee.

Not sure what the larger theme in this post should be: greed, bubbles, valuations, the current real estate market, but I am sure that the difference in Lycos' price from the bubble to the present should be indicative of something innate in human psychology, maybe competition.
